Live Your Dream Awards We consistently witness the power of education in transforming women’s lives through our Live Your Dream Awards.
The Institute for Women’s Policy Research recently released a report underscoring what we see all the time—that higher education is a pathway out of poverty for single mothers. Their research shows that single mother poverty rates were an average of 33 percent lower at each additional level of education attained. Our Live Your Dream Awards serve a specific population of head-of-household women with dependents because this population faces greater barriers to economic empowerment. Check out the full report here!

So Much to Celebrate At the 2018 SIA Convention in Yokohama, the inspirational days could only be matched by the fabulous nights … especially the night of the Laurel Society celebration! This meaningful evening is our way of expressing our great appreciation to the Laurel Society members who make our Dream Programs a reality.
Because of our Laurel Society members we are able to make concrete change in women and girls’ lives—we couldn’t do it without YOU. In the spirit of our 2018 Convention, we want to share the following haiku of thanks:
Without you, her dream stops when she wakes. With your help, she travels by cloud.
