Be Inspired by Amazing Women
It was a great year for the Women’s Opportunity Awards program—and the women who received them! Read the annual impact report to learn more.

One federation recipient, Aziza Kibibi McGill, is brave enough to share her incredible and heart-wrenching story through her personal blog and book, “Unashamed,” which she is currently trying to publish. Learn more here.

Welcome From SIA President Cheri
As she begins her term, 2013-2014 SIA President Cheri Fleming greets new members and welcomes clubs as they work to improve the lives of women and girls by helping them live their dreams!

Best for Women
Best for Women is now a bright, colorful six-panel newsletter that each member will receive in her own language twice a year. The first issue will feature President Cheri’s first president’s message, Executive Director Liz’s headquarters update, and exceptional club projects among other interesting tidbits. Members can also find additional news at <>.

The Pennsylvania Conference for Women
logo1Calling Delaware Valley Soroptimists! The Pennsylvania Conference for Women is rapidly approaching on Friday, November 1, in Philadelphia.  Soroptimist is a supporting partner of the 10th annual conference and a few of our headquarters staff have been invited to attend as guests. As part of our supportive partnership, we are able to offer a special discount code (SO13PA) for any Soroptimist members interested in joining the conference as registered attendees.  We hope you’ll consider joining us to hear the wonderful program, which includes keynotes from Hilary Clinton, Madeline Albright and many other inspiring women!  Let us know if you plan to attend so we can meet up and see your smiling faces in person!

Art Contest
Don’t forget to promote the art contest! Club resources are on the Soroptimist website in all languages. English-speaking participants can go directly to for the contest rules and entry form. The deadline is December 31. Voting will occur on the Live Your Dream Facebook page in February. Winners will receive prizes featuring their winning artwork.

Have you signed up for Live Your Dream? Have you invited your friends, colleagues and family? As Soroptimists, we believe there is strength in numbers. As change agents, you are very much a part of this initiative as we work together to increase our collective impact and expand our reach! Find out more here: LYD Guidebook for Clubs & Members.
